Dear Captain Jack

This is what we know about Antarctica.....

It's very cold and you wear a lot of clothes. There are penguins and ice....(Freya)

It's cold and there are polar bears and penguins. They slide on their tummies. You wear warm clothes. (Louis - who also told me that the coats have feathers in them to keep people warm)

There's a penguin and the boats can crash in that ice. The ice that's blocked up the (glacier) stops it from being warm enough for koala bears (Joseph)

There are penguins who slide on the ice. If it's freezing the ice stays, but if it gets hot it would melt. There are no houses, well there are at the red bit (South Pole) I know somebody in year 4 who's grandma lives in the south pole land (Jacob)

It's very cold and icy with no cafes to get food or drink from. There's no houses but there are penguins and polar bears. Oh and sharks (Sophie)

You could die there because there are no shops for food or water. And they don't have many houses. There are penguins and polar bears, it's too hot and rainy here for polar bears and they definitely don't like thunder (Jessica)
