What a fantastic half term we have had - dinosaurs and pirates has made for a very exciting 6 weeks and although it feels like 2 minutes since I joined the Reception gang - I'm feeling my age tonight and looking forward to a few lie-ins before our next adventure begins!
Next term we are looking at two different themes again - Growing (plants - not chicks!) and Journeys. We will be exploring this theme by sharing stories and looking at some real-life contrasting UK localities. We will begin our work by looking at the fabulous June Crebbin's 'The Train Ride'. Our literacy focus is in reading this together fluently, and being able to order the story... Get a head start by looking at a BBC retelling here:-
