Dear Mrs Bailey, Mrs Steel and the Reception children,
I am writing to you to ask for your help in designing a new range of Essential Pirate Clothing for our male and female pirates. The new range needs to be warm enough to keep us toasty on the high seas and during chilly evening watches, but also cool enough for when the weather is hot and sunny and waterproof for when it rains!
I am sending you some photographs of the current ‘Pirate range’ which I think you will agree is looking a bit old fashioned. I understand from Mr Wilson that Robin Hood school is full of creative people so I hope you are just the people for the job!
Please draw your designs on a sheet of A4 white paper; I need your designs to be clearly labelled with a name and an explanation of what type/colour of material you would recommend for each item of clothing. Please write back to me as soon as possible enclosing your finished designs.
